When we think of Christmas, there are many things that might spring to mind- delicious food, opening presents and feeling very chilly!

One thing that many people look forward to and is synonymous with Christmas is singing carols.

On a windy December afternoon, some of the beneficiaries in Allen town* took it upon themselves to learn popular Christmas carols for the annual women of potential Christmas party.  Mumbled sounds , followed by uttering of words and then angelic voices , happened almost simultaneously.

A Christmas Carol‘s lessons of selflessness and self-reflection are universal, and the story greatly influenced historical traditions.  These are the same principles that the women of potential is trying to relay through their willingness to children and young people who are clearly in need of care and direction - but also the basics of every humans right (food clothing and education).

To say that the hours spent practicing these carols were fruitful is an understatement. The annual Christmas party a few weeks later, was a huge success; as the beneficiaries and partners of the project all shared the Christmas love and spirit together
