At Thanksgiving, we show gratitude for the great people and things we have in our lives. The women of potential were no different on Saturday the 26th of October 2019 at 2:30pm.
Up to 80 of our beneficiaries around Sierra Leone (Allen Town, Makeni, Lungi, , Juba, Moyamba ) and members of the Women of potential team were in a united front, as the service started with an opening prayer and a call to worship
With smiles on their faces and joy in their heart, everyone was thankful for the simplest abilities—breathing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing. These are all gifts that have been given to us without any effort or earning on our part.
The CEO of the organisation Mrs Florence Sesay Schopman talked about the importance of giving thanks , the journey that the organisation has been on highlighted one of its vision/mission statement “A vision to support the under privilege women, girls, children and orphans” .
One way of supporting them was by handing out gifts and donations that included hygiene packs, amongst other things.
The day ended with testimonies from beneficiaries who expressed their gratitude for the relentless work of the organisation and the pictures show the smiles of their faces.
To finish, I want you to ask yourself. What are you thankful for today?
Being thankful gives you confidence — when you're grateful for the things in your life, even if it's something as simple as a beautiful sunset, it gives you more self-confidence. This means that you will be more confident and less worried about your problems and comparing yourself to others.
