Excited to share that with support from Women of Potential International, Girls Connect Sierra Leone has embarked on an incredible journey of skills empowerment training to pupils of New Generation Academy in Makeni.

Within these four weeks, 20 pupils and 7 teachers will dive into the world of creative arts, mastering the techniques of Gara Tie Dye and Bead Making. This initiative is perfectly aligned with our mission to provide essential support to young people, by equipping them with vital skills that pave the way for a brighter future.
Here's what our comprehensive training will cover:
Gara Tie Dye where participants are learning the traditional art of Gara Tie Dye, a beautiful and intricate technique that not only connects them with cultural heritage but also enhances their creativity and craftsmanship.

Bead Making where participants are learning to craft stunning bead bags, tissue box, table Matt etc this component of the training aims to nurture artistic talent and entrepreneurial spirit among the youth.
We are incredibly proud of the dedication and enthusiasm shown by participants and look forward to witnessing their creative talents flourish over the coming weeks. This initiative represents more than just skill-building; it’s about inspiring confidence, promoting self-sufficiency, and enhancing lives through the transformative power of arts and crafts.
